Individual Therapy

Whether adult or teen, we can all benefit from a guide on the road to healing.

Individual therapy is a collaborative process that provides a dedicated opportunity to focus on prioritizing your personal growth and wellbeing. In session, we will  explore the your thoughts, feelings, and relationships to facilitate personal growth, improved functioning, resolve any psychological concerns, and improve overall confidence and satisfaction.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length and occur weekly or biweekly depending individual level of need.

Couples and Family Therapy

Does your relationship need a tune up?

Research suggests, it is not uncommon for couples to endure up to seven years of relational distress before recognizing the need for help. It’s my goal to help you redeem that time. Therapy focuses on shifting problematic patterns, aligning your priorities and resolving issues of pain or conflict that are preventing the fulfillment you hope for in your marriage. For those considering marriage or already engaged, this can be a proactive and premptive process. For others, you may be looking to address the impact of an accumulation of recent turmoil, or even years of it.

In both cases, your marriage and future together is worth it!

Couples sessions are typically between 50 minutes and 80 minutes depending on complexity. While sessions with both spouses individually is occasionally warranted, the focus of couples therapy is the relationship and the relationship requires both of you to be invested.

Adolescent Individual/Family Therapy

Why individual/family therapy? Any child (even a 10-18 year old) needs their parent’s support. However, not every teen’s struggle involves their parents.

On the other hand, sometimes the concerns involve the family relationships and structure itself, such as in parent child conflict, unruly behavior, or adjusting to divorce, family grief, or other stressors. These impact all members of the family directly. In this case, you can feel confident that all members of the family can be included and have a voice

While a teen may be capable of participating in therapy independently, that doesn’t mean their parents want to be left out of the process – or should be. In a stage defined by peer focus and school engagement, it makes sense that each teen deserves a level of privacy. But it also makes sense that a caring parent has a right to know how they can help and to understand the nature of the concerns and overall progress. Sessions will focus on individual intervention with your son directly, but parenting sessions or even joint sessions may also be recommended. Parent consultation is a frequent occurrence as well and is always welcomed.
